The students applying for IELTS in 2019 in the Modules of Academic as well as the General Training must know that there is a revision in the registration fee. Previously it was 12,650 Rupees, but now stands increased to 13,250 Rupees for Paper-Based as well as Computer-Based Test. Another important fact is that IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the test to assess the English proficiency of people intending and applying for studying or settling abroad. Additionally it is planned by the Cambridge University and managed jointly by British Council and IDP.
There are four sections in the IELTS of listening, reading, speaking and finally writing. A person can decide the date/time to take up the test, before he/she pays the fees. The sections of Listening, Reading and Writing are conducted in a day, but for the Speaking exam the schedule comes a day or days, before/after the test day.
In the IELTS graded exist from 1 to 9, and even half marks are awarded wherever necessary. From April 2019, onwards there were many changes in the IELTS. All the aspirants planning to submit the application for it must keep in mind the changes:
Nurses, as well as midwives had a requirement of scoring of 7.0 in all four band areas in IELTS Academics before December 2018. As per the new rules, all global nurses who hope to work in the UK have to achieve a score of IELTS 7.0 in reading listening, and speaking, but only 6.5 in the writing section.
There is also a major change in the mode of the exam of IELTS. Candidates can at present opt for the computer-based pattern like other English tests. Also the paper-based test continues but the aspirants have a choice either to appear for paper-based version or for the computer-based version.
